Position Description

A senior faculty position is available for one or more highly qualified individuals to offer graduate-level instruction in landscape architecture, with a focus on infrastructure, territorial design, and landscape planning. Housed in the Department of Landscape Architecture, this appointment will be a full-time tenured position at the level of professor. Teaching responsibilities will involve instruction in graduate-level design studios, lectures, workshops, and seminar courses in the context of a design school.

Candidates should be landscape architects who have achieved markedly superior attainment in their primary academic/professional endeavors and have been recognized by peers to be truly outstanding in their fields. Candidates should have an internationally respected record of practice, research, and publications in relation to infrastructure and design, or territorial urbanization beyond the scale of the city, and should be able to interact with related planning and design disciplines at Harvard.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates are required to hold a graduate degree in landscape architecture or related field represented at the GSD, including architecture, urban design, or urban planning. A doctoral degree is desirable but not required.
