Position Description

The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences seeks applicants for a full-time Lecturer in Computational Science in the Institute for Applied Computational Science (IACS) (http://iacs.seas.harvard.edu), with an expected start date of July 1, 2017. The position is an annual (twelve-month) academic appointment renewable for up to three years, depending on continuing curricular need and performance.  

Duties include teaching two – three computational or data science courses per year, as well as supervising and advising master’s student projects. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the planning and execution of community events planned by IACS.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field by the expected start date.

Additional Qualifications

In addition, we seek candidates with a record of teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
