Position Description

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures seeks applications for a preceptor in French language. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2018. The preceptor will assist in the training and supervision of teaching fellows and normally teach two language courses in French per semester.

Basic Qualifications

The successful applicant should have native or near native proficiency in French, be well versed in the issues of teaching French as a foreign language, have experience in teaching all levels of French, and be able to teach and coordinate intermediate and upper-level French language courses, as well as advanced composition and Business French courses.

Additional Qualifications

A specialization in French pedagogy and/or second language acquisition is highly desirable. Experience in course coordination and curriculum design is preferred along with a strong doctoral record.
